(Reuters) – American basketball participant Brittney Griner who has been detained in Russia faces legal prosecution, Russia’s state RIA information company cited the Kremlin’s spokesperson as pronouncing on Monday.
“Why will have to we name her a hostage? She broke the Russian regulation, now she faces legal prosecution,” RIA cited Dmitry Peskov as pronouncing in an interview with American MSNBC tv.
“It is not about being taken hostage.”
